The Tamil Nadu Advocates’ Clerks Association (TNACA) at High Court Buildings, Chennai – 104, formerly known as “The Madras Law Clerks’ Association, Madras,” is a historic organization established in 1913.

To create a unified, dynamic, and professional community of advocate clerks, contributing significantly to the legal ecosystem in Tamil Nadu.

To empower advocate clerks through education, welfare initiatives, and professional advocacy while upholding the dignity of the legal profession.

History of the Association

The Tamil Nadu Advocates’ Clerks Association (TNACA) at High Court Buildings, Chennai – 104, formerly known as “The Madras Law Clerks’ Association, Madras,” is a historic organization established in 1913. Initially registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in Registered No.89 of 1968, the association has evolved over the years to reflect the changing landscape of the legal profession and the needs of its members.

In the early years, the association was officially named “The Madras Law Clerks’ Association, Madras.” Over time, with the collective efforts of our General Body and leaders, it was renamed the “Tamil Nadu Advocates Clerks Association,” representing the broader scope and aspirations of our community.
